Terms and Conditions
Last updated:
These terms govern your use of Mailthing at www.mailthing.app, including the console, mailbox connections, API access and webhooks. Mailthing is operated by Francisco Barros. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Questions can be sent to support@mailthing.app.
What Mailthing provides
Mailthing helps developers connect Gmail, Microsoft and IMAP mailboxes to application integrations. Authorized users can inspect synchronized messages, manage scoped API keys and webhooks, and perform supported mailbox, draft and sending operations. Available actions depend on your workspace role, granted permissions, provider support and configuration. Google sign-in authenticates your Mailthing account; connecting Gmail requires a separate mailbox authorization.
Your account and authority
Provide accurate account information and use only accounts, workspaces and mailboxes you are authorized to access. Protect your sign-in credentials, API keys, webhook signing secrets and provider credentials. Choose scopes and webhook destinations carefully, review access regularly, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. Signing in does not grant permission to another workspace or mailbox.
Acceptable use
- Comply with applicable law, email-provider policies and the rights of mailbox owners and message recipients.
- Do not use Mailthing for spam, phishing, malware, unlawful surveillance or unauthorized access.
- Do not bypass access controls, misuse another workspace's data, or disrupt the service or providers.
- Obtain necessary permissions before processing or sharing personal data, enabling external extraction or delivering content to your applications and webhook receivers.
- Do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or train general-purpose AI models with it. External processing of Google data must follow the restrictions described in our Privacy Policy, including Google's Limited Use requirements.
Sending, deletion and integration responsibilities
Review recipients, message content, scopes and destructive actions before authorizing them. Sending email or permanently deleting provider messages may be irreversible. Deleting a connected account from Mailthing queues application cleanup; it is not the same as deleting messages from the provider mailbox. Disabling a connection does not erase its stored content.
Your application must handle webhook retries and duplicate deliveries. A queued request or successful webhook acknowledgement does not prove that a mailbox operation or downstream action completed. Mailbox coverage can be incomplete, and provider limits, outages or revoked permissions can interrupt synchronization. Keep independent copies of information you need; do not treat Mailthing as a guaranteed complete archive or backup.
Your data and third-party services
You retain your rights in the data you provide. You authorize Mailthing to process that data as needed to provide the features you request, subject to our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your application's use of data and for integrations and destinations you configure. Email providers and optional external processing services have their own terms and requirements. Google does not endorse Mailthing merely because Google login or Gmail connections are available.
Availability and limitations
We may change or discontinue features, and may restrict or suspend access to address abuse, security risks or legal requirements. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete mailbox capture, error-free extraction or delivery of every message or webhook. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, warranties or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
Ending use and requesting deletion
You can stop using Mailthing and revoke provider access. Ask an authorized workspace administrator to delete connected accounts, or contact support@mailthing.app for account and personal-data deletion requests. Retention settings, asynchronous cleanup, unresolved operations and manual backup erasure affect deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Copies held by your applications, webhook receivers or email recipients are not automatically removed when you stop using Mailthing.
Updates and contact
Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. We will provide notice of material changes where required by law. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the service and contact us about closing your account. Contact Francisco Barros at support@mailthing.app with questions or concerns.
